GROUP CLASSES WILL NOT MEET BETWEEN May 31 – AUGUST 23.
ESL group classes are a great way to boost your confidence, learn English and connect with others. Collaboration in a group class has been shown to contribute to student learning and success. Students practice real-life conversations with their classmates, share diverse perspectives, and develop stronger communication skills overall.
The focus of a group class is to encourage speaking, fluency, discussion and vocabulary-building. Below is the group schedule. If a class interests you, scroll down to read more about it. You can register and pay directly on this page.

Contact info@sugarlandesl.com if you do not know your English level.

Immersion Reading for Intermediate & Advanced Students

We meet every other Wednesday at 11 am for about 45 minutes. Students sign up for each week and payment is for one meeting. This is best for students who are in levels B1, B2 or C1.
You and the other students login at the scheduled time from your computer or tablet using Zoom. You are able to see me and the other participants.
The cost is $10 per class and includes:
A group meeting with Rhonda and 2-8 other participants. In each class, we read a short text while also listening to the audio at the same time. This technique is helpful so students understand how the words are used and pronounced while placing them in context. A discussion follows where we answer comprehension questions, practice shadowing techniques and talk about the main idea of the text. After class, I email students notes that include the text, vocabulary, pronunciation suggestions, speaking prompts and extra activities to continue learning on your own.
Sign up 48 hours before the class to join us. There must be at least two students for the class to meet.
